The cost of grinding and polishing was fairly low because I split with three other amateurs a bulk purchase of grinding and polishing materials. I polished with paper pads and then finished with pitch.

On the end of each bolt, I secured with Loctite a plywood knob and T-nut assembly. With the mirror in the sling, four pieces of broomstick prevent lateral movement.
